This site attempts to bring out the beauty hidden in images by expanding and auto scrolling the images. In partcular this post is a selection of images featuring women in the paintings of the famous French Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Choose an image and click.   1. Bather with a Griffon Dog. Lise on the bank of the Seine (1870). Lise is Lise Trehot, Renoir’s lover and model. She posed exclusively for Renoir and is depicted in most of the female figures in his paintings from 1866 to 1872. License (public domain) here.
  2. Naked Woman in a Landscape (1883). A painting in the Impressionist style by Renoir. The beautiful model is Suzanne Valadon, an artist model. She was a much sought after model and posed for Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre-Cecile Puvis de Chavannes etc.. She learned to paint by watching the masters paint her and later became an acclaimed painter in her own right. License (public domain) here.
